fln > July 5:
So, I was wondering if this year's corn had really grown to "knee high by the 4th of July," (I often ponder deep issues like this...) so, first thing Saturday morning (July 5th) I went out back to my neighbor's cornfield and measured - using my own knee, of course. Sure enough, the corn was just above the knee (similar to dresses back in 1967), or roughly 27 inches tall. Soooo... just how fast does corn grow in these parts? Well let's find out - I'll get a picture each day and put it here on the website, and we can all grow together. By the way - special

Wow - a warm day, moist soil and some of Bossy's finest organic fertilizer - and this stuff grow better than my weeds. I put the tape measure to it today - and as you can see, the corn stalk of choice is topping out at about 33 inches tall.. fascinating.
